CPC's interactive CD brings Bromley's Bikewise scheme into the electronic age

CPC has produced 10,000 specially produced CDs for the London Borough of Bromley as part the council's innovative Bikewise scheme to promote safe cycling. The Bikewise CD-ROM is a multi-media toolkit with information about road safety, bicycle maintenance and road use. It provides interactive video clips, games and puzzles to make learning about cycling fun.
interactive cdBromley had previously Interactive CDproduced a Bikewise book and the CD was seen as the most effective way to reach many more people at a reasonable cost. CPC produced the CD and packaged it for distribution as a magazine cover CD and as and mailer and handout for Bromley. The CD content was put together by Rossiter and Co., an award winning multi-media company.

"For us, the CD-ROM has proved an invaluable tool for cyclists of all ages. It allows parents and children alike to be able to view what is required of them. For the child, information is presented in a way that helps them gather a lot of the knowledge needed to pass the cycling road safetyproficiency test by playing interactive games" says Caroline Townsend, Road Safety Officer for the London Borough of Bromley.

CD-specialist CPC recently announced Road Safety, an all-in-one design, production and packaging service for local authorities. Increasingly councils are required to produce documents electronically and professionally presented CD's are the easiest and most cost effective way to distribute information. With CPC's one-stop service, councils can get the CD packaging, insert and any documentation professionally designed and printed.

As well as conventional CDs, CPC can also provide 3 inch mini-CDs and credit-card shaped CDs to enhance presentation. The company also provides a full range of printing facilities and can handle the mailing and distribution of the final product.
