Malmesbury-based CPC has launched a new format mini-CD ideal as a promotional item. Just 8cm in size, the mini-CD is available in both CD-ROM and recordable CD-R formats. The CD-ROM version holds 197 megabytes of data, allowing full multi-media presentations with a capacity of almost 22 minutes of audio recording.
It is the first time a Mini CDrecordable mini-CD, able to hold 180 megabytes of data, has been available. This offers greater flexibility as the CD's can be printed in advance, with data simply written to the CD as and when required. This allows changes to content to be made at any time and the production of small quantities provided on-demand.
CPC provide complete packaging and distribution services. The mini-CD's can be over-printed with company logos and other details and a range of attractive packaging options are available such as card or plastic wallets or jewel case and tray.
With the mini-CD's entire brochures and catalogues can be presented as interactive multi-media presentation incorporating sound and video clips. The new mini-CD, which is readable by top loading computer CD drives, offers greater capacity than CPC's credit-card shaped CD's launched earlier this year. Both formats offer a novel sales and marketing tool and can provide far more information than paper documents and in a handy format.
A wide range of uses includes promotional campaigns, product launches, on-line catalogues, multimedia training, software demos, screen savers and even annual reports. CPC's unique duplication service for the new format is seen as a breakthrough in technology that will widen the appeal of providing electronic presentations.
